Stories of Recovery
Real Lives, Real Results

Every patient who walks through our doors carries a story. These are a few of the stories that walked back out, rebuilt, restored, and renewed. Names and details shared with full consent.

The calls come from London, Dubai, Toronto, Birmingham, Riyadh, and New York. A family abroad. A loved one in Pakistan, or themselves needing care. And one shared question. How do we arrange professional, trustworthy, confidential treatment from thousands of miles away?

This is what FCRC’s overseas patient pathway is built for. Rehabilitation for overseas Pakistanis is one of our most important areas of work. The clinical standard matches what you would expect from a private rehabilitation centre in the UK, USA, or Australia. The logistics are handled completely. The confidentiality is unconditional. And the coordination with you, wherever you are in the world, is built into every step.

Pre-admission video consultations are available before any commitment. Reach out whenever you are ready.

Why Overseas Pakistanis Choose FCRC

Cultural and linguistic comfort. Therapeutic work that can happen in Urdu, within a cultural framework that genuinely understands Pakistani family dynamics.

International-standard care at meaningful value. Comparable clinical standards to private rehabilitation in the UK or USA, at a fraction of the cost, with the cultural dimension that Western facilities cannot provide.

Privacy from the overseas community. Treatment in Pakistan removes any risk of word reaching extended family, community networks, or professional circles abroad.

Family proximity. Local Pakistani family can participate in visits and family therapy in person. Overseas family stays connected throughout by video.

Internationally credentialled clinical leadership. CEO Dr. Abrar Ahmad Khan is a Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and member of the Australian Psychological Society and Pakistan Psychological Association. Our consultant psychiatrists hold FCPS qualifications. Treatment approaches are the same evidence-based modalities used in leading private rehabilitation centres worldwide.

The Environment

Bani Gala’s clean air and mountain calm create a recovery setting no urban facility can match.

The Clinical Team

Internationally credentialled consultant psychiatrists, doctoral-level psychologists, and licensed therapists.

Confidentiality

Nothing shared without your consent, including from overseas community networks. آپ کی رازداری ہمارے لیے مقدس ہے۔

Safety

Round-the-clock medical and psychiatric monitoring from admission through discharge.

For Overseas Pakistanis Returning Home for Their Own Treatment

A growing number of overseas Pakistanis return to Pakistan for their own treatment rather than seeking care abroad. The reasons are consistent. Privacy from the country where their professional life is established. Cultural familiarity that deepens therapeutic engagement. International-standard care at meaningfully lower cost. The therapeutic value of recovering in Bani Gala rather than in an urban Western environment.

For these patients, the pathway is similar but with the patient themselves as the primary contact. Pre-admission video consultation, travel coordination, comprehensive assessment on arrival, residential treatment, and structured remote aftercare after discharge.

how we work ?

The Overseas Patient Pathway

FCRC’s rehabilitation for overseas Pakistanis programme follows a structured, clinically proven pathway, personalised to every patient’s individual circumstances and needs.

01

Initial Confidential Contact

A first conversation with our admissions team. By phone, WhatsApp, or email. From anywhere in the world, at any hour. No commitment. No obligation. Complete confidentiality from the first moment.

02

Pre-Admission Video Consultation

A full clinical conversation with senior FCRC clinicians by video. Meet the treating team before bringing your loved one to Pakistan. Discuss the situation in clinical depth. Have your questions answered properly before any commitment is made.

03

Travel and Admission Coordination

FCRC handles airport collection at Islamabad International Airport, private transport to Bani Gala, and the full admission process. For patients already in Pakistan, transport is coordinated from their location to the facility. The arrival process is private, calm, and managed personally by clinical staff.

04

Comprehensive Clinical Assessment

In the first 24 to 48 hours, our multidisciplinary team conducts thorough assessment covering substance use history, mental health, physical health, and the specific clinical picture. Many overseas Pakistani patients receive their first proper clinical assessment at this stage. Overseas families receive a full clinical briefing once assessment is complete.

05

Residential Treatment Programme

30, 60, or 90-day residential programmes with extended care for complex cases. Includes medically supervised detoxification [→ /services/medical-detoxification/] where indicated, evidence-based therapy, psychiatric review, family therapy components, and the comprehensive clinical care that genuine recovery requires.

06

Family Communication Throughout Treatment

Regular clinical updates to nominated family members in accordance with patient consent. Video calls between patient and overseas family scheduled into the programme. Family therapy sessions conducted with overseas family members participating by video. Communication format agreed during the pre-admission consultation.

07

Discharge and Aftercare

For patients returning to home in Pakistan after treatment, structured outpatient follow-up at FCRC. For patients returning to family abroad, remote follow-up sessions by video continue with the FCRC clinical team. Every patient leaves with a personalised aftercare plan.

Treatment Programmes Available

The full range of FCRC’s clinical services is available through the overseas pathway.

What FCRC Handles for Overseas Families

FCRC handles airport collection and ground transport in Pakistan, the full admission and clinical assessment process, all family communication through agreed channels, family therapy by video for overseas participants, and documentation for visa or employer purposes where the patient consents.

Families abroad handle international travel arrangements for the patient and decisions about visiting Pakistan during treatment. Guidance is provided on each, but the bookings are made by the family.

frequently asked question
How do I arrange rehabilitation for a family member in Pakistan from abroad?

Contact FCRC’s admissions team through our contact page or by phone, WhatsApp, or email. From there, a pre-admission video consultation with the clinical team is the standard next step before any commitment.

Yes. Pre-admission video consultations with senior clinical staff are a standard component of the overseas pathway. The consultation allows you to meet the treating team and have your questions answered before any decision is made.

Through scheduled video calls with the patient, regular clinical updates to nominated family members, and family therapy sessions conducted by video. The specific format is agreed during the pre-admission consultation.

Yes. The clinical team holds international credentials, the treatment approaches are the same evidence-based modalities used in leading Western facilities, and the standard is genuinely comparable. Cost is meaningfully lower than equivalent Western private treatment.

Completely. No information is shared with any third party without explicit written consent, including from overseas community contacts, extended family not designated in the family agreement, and employers. Additional discretion protocols are available where required.
